I think when you are trying something new (junior) and like copying others (senior), No blame on it.

As long as you put the reference there and let others know you are upgrading yourself one step forward.

Therefore, no plagiarism is stated on your work.

Seems like the wisest one but honestly I am still on progress to do the same thing.
